Directions to Brighton

Brighton is easy to get to by road, rail, air, sea and tunnel. It is located between the South Downs and the English Channel on the stunnning south coast of England.

How to travel

National Express coaches run services from London and other UK towns and cities into Brighton’s Poole Valley Coach Station. Rail services from London Victoria to Brighton Station are fast and run frequently, you can get information from Trainline and National Rail Enquiries.

The nearest airport to Brighton is London Gatwick, only 30 minutes away by train or 28 miles by road. London Heathrow is a little further away but does serve more International destinations than Gatwick. It is about 60 miles away by road, but it is still easily accessible with direct coach services from Heathrow to Gatwick then on to Brighton.

Transmanche ferries operate from the local port of Newhaven which is about 9 miles away and offers regular sailings from Dieppe. The crossing takes about 4 hours. The Channel Tunnel is less than 2 hours away from Brighton. You can take the Eurostar train to the new London St Pancras International Station or take your car on the Eurotunnel to Folkstone.
